Omantel announced its preliminary unaudited financial results for the period ending on 30 June 2008. The company has achieved net profits after tax of RO 74.8 million, compared with RO 48.5 million during the same period in 2007, thus posting an increase of 54.3%.
A statement by the company indicated that the Omantel's revenues for the first quarter ending on 30 June 2008 amounted to RO 201.1 million against RO 175.9 million with an increase of 14.3 % over last year corresponding period.
As well as that the company's operating expenses amounted to RO 118.4 million, with a decrease of 2.4 % over last year's corresponding period expenses of RO 121.4 million.
